Chuckled at the inclusion of screw-driver. I have one of those, rather large one, for repelling boarders. It resides in the door pocket of my PU. It's there for removing the hub caps for changing tires, don't-cha know.
Incidental use as in for self defense is totally OK- at this time.
What about the guy in Australia who cut up a home invader with a Katana. He was exonerated, seems to me. I have a couple of those as well, "in my collection".
I think I also have a sword in my cane, but that's another topic. I don't use it, of course.
