.45ACP Cylinder - that is interesting indeed. My bear load for my semi/almost-custom .45 1911 was 12.0gr. 630 and the 260 Speer HP - ran 960fps in the 5" Wilson bl. Killed a good sized boar black bear with that load, side lung shot, dropped in his tracks - about 20 or so yards. That would be an easy load for the wheelgun, low recoil and lots of fun shooting. Incidentally, it was the re-sized 300gr.RCBS cast FN's with 7.7gr. Blue Dot that cracked the frame of the 1911. Check drilled the crack and it never moved after that. |
