I've shot a fair amount of Buffalo Bore ammo, and can tell you their posted velocities are conservative. When I'm bow hunting I carry a stainless Kimber 45 loaded with Buffalo bore 45 supers. a 230 gr truncated cone bullet at 1100fps from a 4" barrel.

Had a somewhat interesting/amusing event happen with this. I was practicing with this new handgun.. shooting flipper targets mounted on a treated 4"x4" by 6 ft long piece of treated lumber --started with shooting standard 45 Long Colt ammo--flipping them just fine.. once empty I reloaded with the Buffalo Bores discussed above.. actually shot high on the first shot..lowered my point of aim and fired again at the center target.. connected --however instead of flipping the single target..the entire target set with all three flippers tipped over along with the 6ft piece of lumber they were attached to.. THAT is some serious muzzle energy..
