.45 Colt is an awesome ctg. & fun to shoot.
I just pictured Elmer hung up in the right hand stirup, gun belt in his arm pit trying to get that single action colt out of the holster,
finally getting it out while being kicked and kneed in the head & shoulders and shooting the bronc. (yes- 38/40) 2nd or 3rd shot worked.
Sincerely hope that doesn't happen to you, but you'll be ready if it does.
250gr. .45's will be better than the .38/40's 180's.
