Makes sense yes - deep pen for the bush, rapid expansion for the city.
I has some truncated core Buffalo Barn hard cast loaded up for my m29 with 20gr. I think, of H110 or 296- same thing.
Those were really brutal in that gun with the short round grip - painful even - but my hard cast 275's at 1,210fps are quite controllable with standard grips and easier shooting using AL7 powder.
With standard grips the 300gr. are still too much for my old crippled hands.
Gone are the days of shooting ipsc with full power .44 mag loads. LOL - THAT was fun, but took it's toll.
