Yes - he does ramble & you are right, John - he should have researched more. He is a hell of a good shot, can't take that from him. You should watch the video where he shot out to 200yards (maybe it was 160?) with smoothbore shotgun slugs. The target pistol design o fthe grip is good too shoot- on paper or targets. I myself agree, much preferring the 20 SXS stock design. I thought the capability to shoot .410 shotgun shells as well as .45 Colt was a good move. The .45 Colt is the same as the .45 Long Colt. There never was a .45 Short Colt, so the LONG designation some use is incorrect. There was a shorter .45 issue ctg. the .45 S&W Schofield, which was shorter than the .45 Colt Ctg. by almost 2/10". This actually caused problems when fort Armories issued .45 Colt ammo,(meant for the 1873 Colt SA revolver) to troops armed with the double actioned S&W Schofield. The .45 S&W (Schofield) was 1.100" long, while the .45 Colt(s) was 1.29" long. You can easily shoot the short S&W in the .45 Colt, but not the reverse with proper chambering. |
