DO what you wish--but for me, based on what I have seen, heard from others who have sold them or used them, you couldnt give me one to take off your hands for free..
I was at a class a month ago in Alaska--firearms people laughed when someone asked them about a taurus..
Anyway..spend the addl $300 and get the Smith..IMHO..there are still certain things in life where you get what you pay for..optics and guns typically are 2 of them..
