A 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 pound lengthened version (rifle with 22" to 24" tubes) of that would make a nice little hunting rifle for around here - chambered for .45 Colt- as long as it would 'take' the same loads I used in my .45 Colt Winchester M94. That was had 16" bl and I shot 2 elk with it - 300gr. FN @ 1,584fps, same speed as the BP .45/90 of 1885.
