Has anyone out there tried 147 gr cast bullets in a CZ75? I have a CZ and I have shot 115 grain jacketed in it in the past. It's very accurate with that ammo. At 15 yards I can shoot them through one ragged hole. I just came across some 147 grain cast bullets and with 3 out of 4 powders the bullets are hitting sideways at only 15 yards, and with 7.0 gr of AA#7 it shoots round holes, but accuracy is fair to poor. Now the standard rifling twist for the 9mm Luger is 1 turn in 10” (or 1-9.8” to be closer) but I don’t know what the twist is in the CZ pistols. Does anyone out there know? It is my experience that the 147 grain ammo is not the most accurate in most guns, but I was hoping for better than what I am getting. I expect I just have to give up on the 147 grain ammo, but if anyone out there has any insights I am always willing to learn from the experience of others. Thanks. |
