no marks. As far as I know all the Smiths sold to Canada at the beginning of WW1 were commercial models. Officers in the Canadian Army had to purchase their own kit, including their pistola. If an Officer could afford to buy the pistol outright he was sold an unmarked revolver. If he needed to purchase it on time installments, he was sold a C broad arrow marked pistol, and when he mustered out the his pistol was marked as surplussed out and given back to him. |
