Thank You 404 Bear Slayer for your insight into the SVI range of pistols.
Unfortunately for me in this case, I find the polymer framed 1911 type pistols similar aesthetically, to a Glock pistol.
What I would like to build up, is a conventional 1911 metal frame pistol, with fancy wood grip panels etc. Maybe a stainless frame and blued slide or all stainless metal?
I need to do some more research on what way I will go but probably a Caspian single stack frame and then go from there?
