I used to have one of the Springfield Omegas (SA frame and Peters-Stahl slide and barrel) in 6". Interesting gun that shot well and not a lot of recoil, I sold it due to the reputation for fragility and hard to get parts. I recently picked up a Glock 29 to carry in the field, recoil isn't that bad but the muzzle blast is kind of ferocious.
