Well, it's like this. I hate all double-action autoloaders because of the long pull on the D-A first shot for defensive use. Whereas the Glocks are really a semi-double action which really makes it a semi-single action. The Glock shares the 1911/Browning short throw trigger which is immensely easier to shoot accurately when practicing defensive shooting and for qualifications. I like my Glocks but I LOVE my 1911A1's. I grew up shooting single action autoloaders in the Condition One or cocked and locked mode so I have no use for any double action autoloader ever. I have shot enough DA autoloaders to fill a 55 gal. drum and I still go back to the 1911A1 for accuracy. |
