Not familiar with the S&W S22, but Yellow Jackets should be safe in anything designed for modern .22. Not sure why you would want to, my experience in an older Margolin / vostock target pistol showed a drop in accuracy, a slight drop in velocity, and a bit more muzzle flash at night. Apparently the lighter bullet uses a slower powder, so in very short barrels it doesn't work the way it was intended. Carbines are different, and they seem to work OK in barrels down to 16.5 inches (our minimum length for clasifacation as rifles). Occasionaly some of the extra high velocity .22 would cause jams due to short stroking of auto's, both rifle and pistols. Cannot recal which brands, just remember it happening with some ammo in some guns. |
