I agree with the time line. I liked the Movie, Zulu, and was more thinking of this and the action. A little re-write of history to make a point. Yes, the personally purchased Revolvers, as stated in My post, were a significant part. Large frame and large caliber. And some older versions predating the classic Webley. Romantic history at it's best. Mine are early Mk I and Mk III's. 1888 and (I think) 1914. The dates of use don't change the fighting and rugged qualities of a full size Webley type revolver. A well proven fighting weapon. |
