x5g8: The only thing I like better than a Webley Mk.VI .455 revolver... . . . . .....is............ . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ...a pair of them!! ...and BTW 88Mau, I share your sentiments on the big Webley but not your errant timeline...! Maybe an early Webley-built revolver or two of some pattern warmed their barrels at Rorke's Drift, but the Mk.VI was not adopted for military service until 24th May 1915!! In fact, the Webley military-pattern revolver was first adopted on 8 November 1887 as the "Pistol, Webley, Mk I" (almost 8 years after the battle at Rorke's Drift!) |
