x5g8: The only thing I like better than a Webley Mk.VI .455 revolver... . . . . .....is............ . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ...a pair of them!! ![]() ![]() ...and BTW 88Mau, I share your sentiments on the big Webley but not your errant timeline...! Maybe an early Webley-built revolver or two of some pattern warmed their barrels at Rorke's Drift, but the Mk.VI was not adopted for military service until 24th May 1915!! ![]() In fact, the Webley military-pattern revolver was first adopted on 8 November 1887 as the "Pistol, Webley, Mk I" (almost 8 years after the battle at Rorke's Drift!) |
