The new Ruger LCP is worth a look. 380 cal is a definite lightweight but better than smaller calibers.

Probably mental but I think I probably will stay with the 38+P's and the 357 snub revolvers. Whatever you shoot you should keep shooting the perp multiple times to put him down--
