Yesterday while near the deer yards Blitzen was running ahead while I was doing something. Found him intently pointing at four four grown fallow stags, looking at him through a fence. His long tail was a bit droopy and his raised foreleg a bit curled but he was definitely pointing. He looked at me sideways several times which quite a worried or confused face but held the point for a good twenty or thirty seconds. But when a stag decided to run away a few metres, it was time to chase. The gate stopped the puppy getting in trouble.

Pity I didn't have a camera.

Later when in the house front garden he was playing around but disappeared. Let him have some freedom, but hoped no snakes. Eventually went looking for him and the little bugger had gone several hundred metres into a deer pen and was looking at the dominant breeding stag through a fence.

Very interested in the deer, but they are a little out of a ten week old puppy's league, definitely the stags at the moment.
