Actually I was glad I did NOT have a dog last week or two. In the middle of the night I went to change some irrigation taps and surprised five skippy's in the paddock next to the vineyard. My GSP used to chase kangaroos which is very dangerous for the dog.

An adult kangaroo can grip the dog with its forelegs and then rip its stomach out with the hind ones. Or if in water they will drown dogs.

Not much chance of the later at the moment as the roos have come into more settled country because of the drought.
