I had horses from age 7 until age 43. I grew tired of farriers and the hay growers jacking prices. With corn now becoming popular as heating fuel and motor fuel, prices continue to climb unreasonably. I don't have the ability to house a horse at present on my land, no barn. Boarding is also very pricey. But we'll see, I can retire in 11 years and will only be mid-50's in age. Perhaps I can still handle a horse then!
