She is going to be 6 on October 1. Other than some white chin hairs she shows no signs of aging, joints are all solid! We are looking at getting another dog, I have my eye on an 80 pound neutered pit bull yearling that was rescued from NYC. He's very friendly and loves people, cats and I hope he will also like the chickens I have. His job will be to guard the farm from predators while I am at work and be a play mate for Briar. My lab pictured here is friendly to even the varmints. I have a lot of mink and fisher (a large member of the weasle family) here and they like chicken. The pit bull, being a terrier breed, will have a more protective instinct than a labrador.
