OK I currently have a GSP. I want to get a second one oneday so I have a working pair. But have been holding off due to the time consuming training of a puppy requirements.

What I am thinking of instead (still will get a second GSP oneday) is a smaller dog. Either medium or small.

The dog would need to be multi-capable.

Used a lot to help hunting rabbits in the fields and vienyards.

Used to help track game and wounded game such as deer, goats, roos and pigs.

I like the idea of a dog which locates pigs. NOT a holding dog but a finder.

Perhaps something like a terrior ro a simialr breed. Agile and fast and quick to get out of the way.

Also a loyal dog and a good mate whom isn't aggressive to children (or not mauch anyway).

Once the breed has been narrowed down then I will have t he trouble to find it in Australia and also hunting parents But that's for the future.
