I would think John, that you have to get total control from the get go. Get your basics down pat (their the same for any dog)then you have to decide what you want it do do. In some of the pommy shooting mags there are some articles on flushing spaniels that you could get some advice off. If it were me I would try to train it to. As a terrier its prey drive will be there already you just have to channel it to your way of hunting. I wouldn't think they would be good as a silent indicator on game? |
