Asked the following question on a GSP Hunting Dog group:

My old boy, now 12 years plus. Has always been slim and fit. A little bit heavier now. He is starting to have problems with his rear half. Has taken a few falls when running or moving. His rear hips appear to be failing sometimes.

He also has a cough which comes and goes. Usually from cold air I believe. He has had all his regular shots.

His feed is mixed, usually Bonny Adult or Bonny Working dog, plus chicken, beef or roof mince mixed in. Rice or cooked vege leftovers.

If there anything I can give him to improve his rear hip problems? Any supplements or ?

What about the cough? The vet when he had his shots, prodded his throat and said he was fine. Of course he wasn't coughing at the time.
