Re: blood trackers

I had a blood thirsty mutt that would track deer for me. Found one I shot poorly with a bow that I would not have found. While its use is illegal in MN I was "grouse" hunting with a shotgun when I found the deer I had shot the night before. Marked the location and came back. That dog had found a couple of deer for me. I hunt on my own land. The inability to use a dog to track wounded game is ridiculous. When I used that dog she was mostly on a leash. Sometimes in Mn you get a pack of coyotes that find the game before you do if it has to wait overnight. Timber wolves are not a problem in my area but are in the NE. The Federal government did not understand that while there were and are only a few wolves in MN and the US, Canada had plenty of them which could run across the Rainy River when frozen at will. Theres a group taht seems to think they are big puppy dogs and keep lobbying to protect them.
