,In these days of modern technology,fancy carbon fibre rods and every gimmick known to fishermen and women,we have forgotten (almost) the humble spoon as a method of catching barra and mangrove jack.
I have at least 6 in my tackle box and when nothing else works I will always end up with a feed using spoons.
Now as for the best eating fish in the north you cant go past a Mangrove Jack..make barra taste very ordinary.
A feed of mudcrabs and a couple of bottles of brown lemonade is also hard to pass up...
