Unfortunately, I don't get to fish as much as I'd like, but in 2 weeks I'm leaving for what hopefully will be a trip of a lifetime. I'm headed up to northern Manitoba, Canada, about 550 air miles north of Winnipeg for 9 days of fishing for trophy pike, walleye, lake trout and grayling. The lake covers 70,000 acres and is catch and release only, except that a fish or two may be kept for shore lunches. Northern Pike in excess of 40 inches are not uncommon, and many Walleye Pike over 28 inches are caught as well. We'll really be roughing it
