Been a few times, caught Marlin, Tuna (yellowfin), dorado or Felushi as they call them there, cuda, wahoo. If you are going over the reef you then have about 2 hours before you hit the cliffs where the big stuff is. However, if you are taking a fly rod only I donīt think you need to do that. Twice while trolling small rubber lures behind within the reef for small tuna as livebait we hooked up with something that shouldnīt have been there, both times on 30lb gear, first was a black marlin (est 500lbs) who just buggered off, second time a marlin on a rapala !! not big, 150lb ish but both were only 300 yards from shore.
