It depends partly on where they live.

Some countries do eat Carp but I believe they live in clear water.

Over here in Aus, they taste like crap (mud) as they really are mud stirrers and stuff the rivers.

I use them as spear, shotgun, rifle and general target practice.

When caught in bulk, they are turned into fertilizer.
