Here's the info: JDJ Auction 2008 Lot 577A *EXTREMELY RARE CASED DANIEL FRASER MINIATURE DOUBLE RIFLE. SN 2077. Cal. 22 Hornet. Caliber may be 22 WCF but 22 Hornet fits and functions perfectly with good accuracy. This spectacular little rifle has 25" bbls with flat matted rib, raised pedestal front sight with hood and 2-leaf platinum line matted express sight marked "50" and "100". There are special scope mounts dovetailed into the rib and it also has the maker's name & address engraved forward of front scope mount. It has rib extension third fastener with dbl underbite, ejectors & dbl triggers. Mounted with very highly figured French walnut with checkered splinter forearm and capped pistol grip stock with raised checkered side panels & cheekpiece, 14-1/2" over a checkered horn buttplate. Bottom of bbl has a sling eye with a corresponding eye in the buttstock. Bottom of buttstock has an elaborate gold initial shield engraved "W". Receiver & appended iron are spectacularly engraved in very fine intertwined English scroll patterns with fine chain borders and maker's name in a ribbon on each side. Fences have deep relief fleur-de-lis and feather patterns, also with a chain border in a raised rib around front edges. Opening lever is engraved "FRASER'S PATENT" and top tang has a bolted safety with "SAFE" in gold in a black enamel panel. Accompanied by an orig Fraser rifle scope numbered to this rifle and engraved on top identically to the rib marking. Also engraved on top of scope is "SOLE PATENTEES & MANUFACTURERS". It has a telescoping eye piece with leather covered rim. The reticle is fine crosshairs with a dbl horizontal line. Weight: 6 lbs. 6.4 oz. with good shooting dimensions. Additionally accompanied by an orig red felt lined Daniel Fraser oak & leather trunk case embossed on lid "MAJOR V. KNOX" and has an orig maker's gold embossed label inside lid. Bottom is compartmented for the rifle, telescope and a rnd oil bottle engraved on top knob "W.R." All other compartments are empty. Also accompanied by a target which shows great accuracy from the right bbl and reasonable hunting accuracy from left bbl. Very few of these miniature dbl rifles were ever made by Fraser and are rarely ever encountered in the United States. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbls retain about 97-98% strong orig blue with a few minor nicks and slight thinning on right bbl over chamber area. Receiver retains most of its orig dark case colors with some slight thinning on the edges. Trigger guard, floorplate, opening lever & bolt retain most of their orig factory blue. Wood is sound with minor handling & storage marks and retains most of its orig oil finish on buttstock, slightly darkened on forearm and may be an old restored finish. Checkering on forearm shows moderate wear. Scope is extremely fine, retaining most of its orig factory blue with fine optics. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bores.
