This little double started life as a J.P. Sauer 22long/ 9mm garden gun. It had been in a fire and both the stock and forend were burnt off. The barrels had came apart and the ribs were missing. The barrels were cut off making a mono block and bored out to accept two marlin microgroove 22 cal barrels. Both barrels were turned to the same diameter and soldered in the monoblock and chambered to 22 long rifle. Seperate side ribs as well as a quater rib were made to support a folding peep sight and lever style scoperings with a zeiss zeilklein. The extractors had to be modified to extract from both barrels. Converted about 20 years ago but never got around to checkering. Just a toy but many hours to complete. |
