the proof marks will tell a story. the Springer's Erben double rifles in 10,75x52R were made in Liege/Belgium so having belgian proof marks. a common double rifle in 10,75x52R Gründig was made for Gründig/Dresden by Sauer&Sohn so having Suhl proof marks. ![]() ![]() but I say common, they were never common. springer's erben catalog, early 1920s,iirc they offer a hammerless double rifle, here Doppelstutzen ( very austrian) ![]() ![]() and single shot stalking rifle with hammer ![]() ![]() here I have pictures of an original ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
