Absolutely stunning finish, as we have come to expect from Westley Richards these days. I have told everyone who will listen that IMHO, the two double rifle makers who really knew how to build shootable doubles were Jeffery and Westley Richards. They took the crucial "weight between the hands" paradigm to a whole new level. Many modern makers just don't seem to get this, touting "balance at the hinge-pin" as an achievement, but without proper weight concentration in the action, it's meaningless. Here I am, ranting again, but just look at that first picture. Chunky where it counts! With a .500, you need it! |
