One thing about dots, is what is seen without non-corrective lenses in my glasses. My astigmatism, non-corrected makes the dot of a red dot sight, into a 45 degree slash, high on the left, low on the right. Try hitting with that, sometime.
With the glasses, I see a dot & do very well indeed. I think it's a 3moa dot, but much depends on the power setting. The brighter it is, the larger it is.
Thus, in bright light, to see it, the power has to be up and that makes the dot even larger.
Past 100yards - it would be next to useless for any precision.
