I have a red dot on my PCP .22 Pistol. That's a good place for them. I tried it on my Ruger 10-22, but it sucked at that job.
I cannot understand it on anything other than a pistol & and pellet gun at that.
Some may be OK on CF pistols.
The IPSC shooters today seem to all have them.
