serial number on barrel lump only, 26in. black powder only barrels (Prague marks), matt rib with open sights and bead fore-sight, the left barrel engraved 'JOH. SPRINGER ERBEN IN WIEN', unsigned action with permanently-attached fore-end, dolls-head extension, carved percussion fences, unsigned rebounding back-action locks, top strap with folding peepsight, set front trigger, rear trigger with minor fracture, border and fine acanthus scroll engraving, retaining traces of colour-hardening, 13 3/4in. highly-figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, horn pistolgrip-cap, sling swivels and steel buttplate, weight 6lb. 15oz.
