you are right its similar to blaser and herbert scheiring, but the locking
is with this franz jäger kipplauf vertikalblockverschluß even more complex as
it also locks vertically in the barrel front. this really requested an absolut
accurate master gunsmith.
this vertical kipplaufblockverschluß was developed by franz jäger & co
waffenfabrik, suhl in 1906 and was patented with "reichspatent nr.209113 on
november 23rd of 1906

What a beautiful example of the Franz Jager locking tilting block, that was, and still is, the strongest double rifle bolting system in existence, with many examples having now been chambered in most of the highly intense cartridges known. Yet, due to what some people consider a design as being ugly, as in the modern version of the tilting block bolting system seen in the Blaser. More double rifle lovers would do well to become much more familiar with this system, and much more credit should be given to Franz Jager for this design
