Curious, but what is the length of pull on this rifle?
My Halger bolt gun had something like 15-1/2" over a horn plate and a 28" barrel and a long forend so it really was a huge gun.
The other 280 Halger I had handled also had a very long stock.
My guess is that Halger built every rifle to order though.
