I finally connected with the Paton. There have been many range sessions, many steel plates and targets have been struck, and many miles walked in the woods with the Paton in my hands. I was beginning to fear it was somehow cursed as the opportunity to take a whitetail never seemed to develop with the Paton in my hands. But as of last week, I can finally say that a Whitetail has been taken. I alway enjoy taking game with vintage guns, but this one was especially joyful given the wait.
