Nordmann, you misunderstand me, it wasn´t fitted as a toy to entertain the gun bearer, it was fitted to stop him messing with the safety though how effective it was I do not know since he could then play with the bolted safety !!? however, I do think it has no place on a dangerous game rifle. Old Percival actually had the safeties on his doubles actually deactivated I believe, i.e. there was NONE
