I have a Purdey .470 extra finish gun which is just the same. Posted a couple of photos on my site (link above) so you can see what I mean. Not quite as much overhang as on the .375/.470 Joh. Outschar & Sohn of Ferlach, but its there.

Does that mean you wouldn't want to own a Purdey .470 deluxe DR?
