rigbymauser, would a H&H do?

I saw a dandy at the SCI show, refinished & a little too well done in a spot or to, but very nice all the same & bores looked good to me.

Wrongly marked on the card as a 577BPE, that is why I was looking at it, but 577/500 was on the action, not asking a outrageous price either !

I´m not a collector so natually a refinished rifle would also be ok. I am in for the rifles looks and caliber.
For me the 577/500 Magnum is THE caliber of all the 500s. Ofcouse I saw Double Don had a .500 3 1/4 H&H for sale on GI here awhile ago. That gun was a drooler too.
I will use my gun for active "service" so a highly collectable gun in original tidy finish etc would I become afraid to use.

Who had the gun?. Asking price?.
