Whilst nowhere near the quality of some recent posts, I bought this last week .577 doubles are not common (AFAIK) in the UK and I could not resist it, I have engraved rifles so can live with it! Very plain with no engraving it was retailed by Isaac Hollis & Sons although almost certainly made by W & C Scott who made many double rifles for better known names Dating is difficult as the I Hollis address is not full enough to detail but 1880 - 1895 is probable The case hardening is clearer around and especially under the hammers Very plain but nice fences Third bite, usual on W&C Scott doubles Minimum address, 3 leaf unmarked sights Bores are very good Birmingham proofs A nice touch - the "low light"? sight Barrel length is 26 3/4 inches, I will shoot it when I get time!
