It looks like a version of "Der Jägersche Vertikalblock-Verschluss" to my eyes but I'm an ecologist not an engineer

Thanks for that. So that translates into the "Hunters Vertical Block Lock".

I'm surprised by the amount of metal above the chambers, similar to the Blaser doubles. Surely it makes the reloading of these doubles problematic in a hurry. At least slower?
