I feel very fortunate to have its less fancy older brother, No. 14967, chambered in .500 3" BPE. http://forums.nitroexpress.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=61471&an=0&page=1#Post61471 A very similar rifle, made in 1894, with fluid steel barrels and slightly less embellishment. It's an interesting placement of the fastening screw for the locks on No. 16167. I don't recall seeing a centrally located fastening pin like that. Curl |
