This rifle weighs approx 14.5 Ibs, and balance perfect 3" from the chamber.
I think the barrels may have been refurbished, but it is very difficult to say, since everything with this rifle here is so well kept. I don`t believe this rifle has seen much action really.... the bores are shiny with 12 grooves of sharp rifling all the way out. I think its a gun that has been made in the black/smokelesspowder transission(1890-1900) period, and has just been standing on dealers shelfs,left alone, watching all the smokeless rifles going out instead....hahaha.
I look at this gun every day almost, just becomming more and more facinated with this type of doublerifles. I have read that elephanthunting has opened in Malaysia..perhaps this gun will go one day.
