My Greener .360 No.2 has no standing rear sight either - thought that was a little odd.
Maybe this is for "snap" shooting as you would with a shotgun. On a paradox this is self explanatory - used as a shotgun. Different in a .360 or a .577 Snider. Would be fun to test "snap" shooting accuracy with a rifle out to about 50-75yds though.
