M. K. Owen Hammerless 4 Bore Double Rifle w/ Case Description: This rifle was featured in The Double Gun Journal Vol. 12, Issue 1, Spring 2001. Inspired by a Holland & Holland 4-bore Royal Ejector Grade rifle made for the Maharajah of Rewa, India, it has a Greener Crossbolt action, hand-rifled chrome molybdenum 4150 steel barrels, and beautiful stocking. It is deep relief engraved by Phillipe Grifnee of Belgium. This gun was designed for use with large and dangerous game such as rhino, elephant, or Cape buffalo. Regulated for 50 yards. Its condition is excellent overall, with only a few handling marks in the stock. Barrel bluing is 99%+ with strong rifling and clean bores. Relief engraving is pristine. There is slight wear from use on the barrel lug, as can be seen in the photo of the floor plate. Beyond that, this rifle is immaculate. Includes leather-covered case specifically designed for this rifle. Handle has detatched from case on the left side, but can easily be repaired. Price available upon request.
