Re: A Pair of George Hoenig Rotary Round Action Guns

The 17 was just acquired, and has under a hundred rounds through it. The 9.3 has had considerably more rounds through it. I have had it for about two years and it is one of my favorites (you can tell it has been used more by just a smidge of markings on the breech face of the latter, which may well come off with a bit more elbow grease from my son, who shot it last and is not as fussy as when I clean up after a shoot.)

As to 'appreciation' of the Hoenig, who knows. The rarity factor works two ways, one would think it would enhance value but being so rare and unappreciated for that reason, it may be a negative factor. On the other hand, anyone who has seen them wants to try them, and the action is just so smooth and so easy to get used to that they will 'sell themselves. Dave
