Absolutely terrible! Where can I get one?

With a scope on and without it has to be an extremely versatile rifle.

Next to my Merkel:

Close up with scope:

Nicely balanced tho, but a "problem child" - barrels re-regulated by Koschatt from Ferlach got good grouping but still 5 inches high on 60 meters with open sights (note height of the front sight).

I love the .375 in a double rifle.

I'm FINALLY taking mine hunting. I'm off to Colorado on a 5 day mule deer hunt this Thursday.

Very Nice gun by the way.

Victor S's are very underated.

I have one the same in 375H&H except mine
has no colour on it and I don't think it
did have to start with.

Was it originally made as a Flanged Magnum.

Mehul Kamdar - he (my friend) runs a small hunting agency - he is lending this rifle on occasions to clients for bears and red stags here in EU (mainly Slovenia, Croatia and Hungary), but mainly use it himself - I was on a couple boar driven hunts with him where he used it with good results. He owns the rifle for 5 years now (he shot 3 buffs so far with 9,3x62 (before he got it) but next one will be with this double I bet - right after a tuskless next spring in Zim as I know.

.500Nitro - it was a Flanged magnum right from beginning - rifle dates from 19 eighties as I recall (bought it second hand from one of his clients).

93mouse,

It must be great to hunt with such a special rifle! If you have some time and if you find any trophy pics please post them here.

But now there is another request - pictures of your Merkel, please! Some close ups would be greatly appreciated, as would trophy pics won with your rifle.

Thanks in advance and good hunting!

Will do - tho Merkel is just a basic model 140 in 9,3x74R - nothing special and I am in a middle of load development for her - but will do - I am up to it at work right now - must finish things before Spanish clients arive on Sunday on Chamois hunt.

93Mouse,

So we could expect hunt pics if your Spanish clients agree to let you post them here.

Every gun is special in some way. DO post pictures of your beauty when you have time.

Good hunting!

Hello guys - just recieved some pictures from my friend of the hunt that took place last weekend in Croatia (Belje). He lend the rifle to his nephew - young hunter named Jan is only 14 and he did very well - he took 6 pigs on this 2 day hunt - loads were GS HV 265gr going ~ 2800fps.
